The accessibility scanner for what the other scanners skip.

Most accessibility tools stop at HTML: alt tags, contrast, ARIA. LuxAbility opens what they never do — your videos, audio, PDFs, and Office documents — and quantifies your WCAG 2.1 media and document debt in remediation units. The report is your punch list.

The gap your current scanner ignores

Your scanner gave you a green checkmark. It checked the HTML — the easy part. The rest of your exposure lives in the media layer: uncaptioned video, untagged PDFs, inaccessible documents. In our scans, that's where the majority of findings live — and it's exactly the content showing up in ADA litigation and EAA enforcement.

Even the standards body scores a 24

We scanned W3.org — the organization that writes the accessibility standard. Result: 24/100. On 25 pages: 6 media assets, 17 findings. If the authors of the rulebook score a 24, what does your site score?

How it works

  1. We crawl your public surface and inventory every media and document asset we can reach.

  2. Deterministic rules score each asset against WCAG 2.1 — verified facts, heuristics, and third-party embeds clearly separated. No AI guessing: same input, same score, every run. A number you can hand to your lawyer.

  3. You get a scored report with an ordered punch list — the exact assets, the issues, the fix order, sized in remediation units.

Why now

The federal ADA Title II deadline is here. It applies to state and local governments and public educational institutions — and that makes accessibility a procurement requirement for anyone selling to them. If your portal has uncaptioned tutorial videos, a state university system can't buy your platform. "Our HTML scanner said we were fine" is not a legal defense.

In the EU, the European Accessibility Act is already in force for consumer-facing digital products and services.

Questions CEOs and compliance teams ask us

What exactly does LuxAbility scan?

Everything your HTML scanner skips: video, audio, PDFs, and Office documents on your public surface. We crawl what's reachable, inventory every media and document asset, and score each one against WCAG 2.1.

How is this different from axe, WAVE, or Siteimprove?

Those tools evaluate your HTML — and they're good at it. But automated HTML scans can reliably detect only about 13% of WCAG success criteria, and they never open your videos or documents. LuxAbility is built for that other layer. We're complementary to your existing scanner, not a replacement.

Is this an automated scan or a manual audit?

Automated and deterministic — same input, same score, every run, against a versioned rule set. Unlike a manual audit, it's reproducible and repeatable; unlike typical scanners, it opens the media layer. The report clearly separates verified facts from heuristics, so you know exactly what each finding is based on.

What do you check each asset for?

Videos: captions, transcripts, audio descriptions. Audio: transcripts. PDFs: tagging, reading order, document language, alt text on images. Office documents: structural accessibility equivalents. Third-party embeds are inventoried and flagged separately.

What's a "remediation unit"?

A sizing measure for the work needed to fix a finding — so the punch list reads like a project plan, not a pile of errors. Your team, agency, or vendor can scope and budget remediation directly from the report.

If we score high, are we legally compliant?

No tool can promise that, and you should distrust any that does. LuxAbility gives you a defensible technical record: what was checked, against which rules, with which result. It's evidence for your compliance posture — your counsel makes the legal call.

Do you fix the issues too?

The audit is the diagnosis, not the surgery. You get an ordered punch list your existing team or vendor can execute. For captioning and PDF remediation we can point you to specialized providers.

Do you need credentials or access to our systems?

No. We scan only your publicly reachable surface — same view an auditor, a litigant, or a procurement reviewer has. Nothing to install, no credentials to share.

What happens after the audit?

You fix, we verify: a re-scan is $750 and shows exactly what moved. For teams that publish content continuously, monitoring re-scans your surface on a schedule and flags new debt as it appears.
